We’d like to offer the opportunity to sponsor a child from The Ark. Each child really requires close to $250 a month in expenses, but since many donors can’t offer that much we will receive sponsorships of any amount from $35 up until we reach the goal amount.
Many of the children are semi-permanent in our home although we can never say what will happen in each case. Some children leave in adoption, some are returned to family through the courts and others stay. Sometimes we think a child is permanent, but a sister or cousin will show up one day and reclaim them. Other times, we think a child will soon go home, but they end up growing up with us.
The reality of life is that circumstances may change. If you sponsor a child, and they leave The Ark, Naomi will send you a new profile to see if you’d like to transfer your sponsorship.
Sponsorship provides the children with medical and dental care, attention from specialists, therapy and counselling, education, food, clothing, Christmas and birthdays and all that any other child might need to live a healthy life.
